Acrylic artificial stone is divided into pure acrylic artificial stone and composite acrylic artificial stone, which is completely different from unsaturated resin, mainly in composition and performance.

The main material of pure acrylic sheet is made by mixing methacrylic acid methyl ester (MMA, the main material for dentures) and high-quality aluminum hydroxide powder. The whole board contains no resin and only methyl methacrylate. The product's color, consistency of internal and external quality, environmental protection and the integrity of the finished product are integrated. At the same time, it has the characteristics of high hardness, good strength, non-permeability, non-cracking and stable color. It is the most kitchen countertop. Good choice.

The composite acrylic sheet is a substitute for high-quality resin sheets. The material composition is about 20% acrylic, aluminum hydroxide and particles 65% in the high-quality resin, and other materials account for about 2% (depending on the color). Composite acrylic combines the advantages of a resin sheet with a pure acrylic sheet. It has the elegance of natural marble, the hardness of granite and the delicate and warm feeling of wood. At the same time, it is colorful, non-radioactive and safe to use. It is also a kind of countertop that is pushed by the major brands.

  Unsaturated polyester resin:

The unsaturated polyester resin is a thermosetting resin which, when heated or an initiator, can be cured into an insoluble and insoluble polymer network polymer. However, this polymer has low mechanical strength and cannot meet most of the requirements of use. When it is reinforced with glass fiber, it can be a composite material, commonly known as "Fiber Reinforced Plastics" (FRP). The mechanical strength of "FRP" has been greatly improved compared with the resin cast body.

FRP (UPR-FRP) based on unsaturated resin has the following characteristics:

Lightweight and strong

The density of FRP is 1.4-2.2g/cm3, which is 4-5 times lighter than steel, but its strength is not small, and its specific strength exceeds that of steel, hard aluminum and fir.

Good corrosion resistance

UPR-FRP is a good corrosion-resistant material. It can withstand normal concentrations of acids, alkalis and salts. Most organic solvents, seawater, atmosphere and oil are also very resistant to microorganisms. They are widely used in petroleum. Chemicals, pesticides, medicines, dyes, electroplating, electrolysis, smelting, light industry and other fields of the national economy play a role that cannot be replaced by other materials.

Excellent electrical performance

UPR-FRP has excellent insulation properties and maintains good dielectric properties under high frequency. It does not reflect radio waves, is immune to electromagnetic effects, and has good microwave permeability. It is an ideal material for manufacturing radomes. Using it to manufacture insulating parts in instruments, motors, and electrical products can improve the service life and reliability of electrical appliances.

Unique thermal performance

UPR-FRP has a thermal conductivity of 0.3-0.4Kcal/mh°C, which is only 1/100-1/1000 of metal. It is an excellent thermal insulation material. The doors and windows made of it are the fifth generation of new energy-saving building materials. In addition, the FRP linear expansion coefficient is also small, and is close to the general metal material, so the FRP and the metal connection are not subjected to thermal expansion to generate stress, which is advantageous for bonding with the metal substrate or the concrete structure.

Excellent processing performance

UPR has excellent processing technology and simple process. It can be molded at one time. It can be molded at normal temperature and pressure, and can be cured by heating and pressing. Moreover, no low molecular by-products are formed during the curing process, and a relatively uniform product can be produced. Due to its excellent process performance, it has been widely used in recent years for the production of non-glass fiber reinforced materials such as handicrafts, imitation marble products, and polyester lacquers.

Good designability of materials

UPR-FRP is a composite material with UPR as the base and glass fiber as the reinforced aggregate, and the two are processed into a final shape by one-time processing. So FRP is not only a material, but also a structure. The so-called designability includes two aspects:

(1) Functional design; FRP products with various special functions can be made by selecting suitable UPR and glass fiber, such as: can be made into corrosion-resistant products; can be made into products resistant to transient high temperature; Sheet; can be made into fire-resistant flame retardant products; can be made into UV resistant products

(2) Structural design: Various product structures can be flexibly designed according to needs, such as FRP doors and windows, FRP gratings, FRP pipes, FRP tanks, FRP tanks, etc.

No material is omnipotent, and FRP is no exception. First of all, FRP has many essential differences compared with metals. For example, metal is an isotropic material, and FRP is an anisotropic material. Under stress, metal is generally divided into two stages: elastic deformation and plastic deformation, while FRP is in stress. Under the action, there is generally no significant plastic deformation stage, no yield point, stratification in the process of stress, and sudden breakage during overload. Secondly, the modulus of FRP is lower, which is 10 times worse than that of steel. Therefore, products with high rigidity requirements must be carefully designed.
